It is part of the collection:

Children's vest made of a single piece of red woolen cloth. The edges of the vest are trimmed with white cloth cut into a trail (in the teeth). The white cloth was additionally trimmed / decorated with beige machine embroidery. The vest was additionally decorated with a plant application made with the use of hand-machine embroidery. The application is visible in three places: in the front, in the central part of both fields and in the center of the squares. The embroidery shows a flower with nine petals (nine petals) in beige and five green leaves. The vest was sewn on the shoulders. In the upper part of both fields (at the edge), two strings of string were sewn in to allow the vest to be tied.

The vest was a gift that Teofila Wawrzyniak's grandfather brought her from Zakopane before World War II. The vest was hidden throughout the occupation period. It is the only memento that has survived of the Teofila family who died in the Holocaust. During the war, Teofila Wawrzyniak (a little girl at that time) was hidden by a Polish family. After 1947, she stayed in a Jewish orphanage.

The object is a souvenir product inspired by the traditional costumes of the Podhale highlanders. The embroidery visible on the vest shows the motif of the Nine-Sharp, popular in the art of the Podhale highlanders - plants from the Asteraceae family, which are credited with healing and even magical effects. Inside the left flap, a laundry note with a number, pinned with two labels.
