Anna and Jakub Hertz villa in Łódź

Photographic documentation of the site

In 1892, at Spacerowa Street (currently 4 T. Kosciuszko Alley) Izrael Poznański had a villa built for his daughter Anna, who married Jakub Hertz. It is not certain who drew up the design of the building - whether it was the German architect Julius Jung or Hilary Majewski, who signed the project. The villa was built on a rectangular ground plan. It was decorated at the front with a loggia supported by columns and crowned by a high roof with mansard windows.
