Atarah (Hebrew: ‘crown’) – a broad ornamental strip sewn on the upper edge of the tallit, decorated with schiffli embroidery in silver or gold lace woven into rosettes, palmettes, or other patterns.
The item was purchased for the collection of the National Museum of Przemyśl from Jeremiasz Feuer, a resident of Przemyśl, in 1938.
