Column, table-mounted bookbinding press used for pressing bound books. The press is made of cast iron and consists of a stationary base with columns connected by a crossbar. Above the crossbar is a wheel holding a screw and a pressing top plate. By spinning the wheel, the top plate is moved downwards, pressing the book being pressed, or it is moved upwards to remove the object being pressed.

The Star of David is hand-carved into the base, which may indicate that the press came from a Jewish bookbindery.
