Cabinet portrait photograph of a family, from page 10r of the Garnek family album

Cabinet card photograph of two women, two girls and a man against a curtain (?) with a representation of the interior of the room (?). The man sitting in the middle is dressed in a suit and a white shirt, with a pocket square in the breast pocket and a tie under his neck. The older woman on the right is wearing a white blouse with elbow-length sleeves, likely wearing a wig. Her hands embrace a huddled little girl with her hair cut behind her ears and a very short fringe. The girl is dressed in a light vest and a darker blouse with a collar. A slightly older girl standing to the left of her and the man has a similar hairstyle (her fringe, however, is longer – cut just above her eyebrows), wearing a dress that is adorned with rhomboid-like patterns on the collar, cuffs and hem. A wide ribbon tied to resemble a tie runs down from under her collar; the girl's mouth is parted, her right hand is grasped by a relatively young woman sitting to her left. The woman has light hair pinned at the back, parted to the side. She is dressed in a black blouse, and a spider-shaped brooch adorns the spread collar. The edges of the print are straight, with a slight frame line. The photograph was developed on paper by the Leonar company
