Pamiątki zabrane przez Trachtenherców do Szwecji w 1969

Child’s dress from the legacy of the Trachtenherc family, March ’68 emigrants.

This is one of several keepsakes from the childhood of Anna Trachtenherc (1946–2022), daughter of Natan (1910–1991) and Maria (1913–2006), which the family took with them when emigrating to Sweden due to the intensifying antisemitic atmosphere in Poland.

The dress is made of cotton fabric in two colors. The lower part is sewn from light blue fabric. The bodice, sleeves, and collar are made of fabric printed with colorful flowers. The sleeves (puffed) and the collar are trimmed with decorative binding made of the same light blue material. The collar is tied with a thin string in the same color. Near the bottom edge of the dress (approximately one-third of the way up), there is a decorative floral fabric trim sewn on in a wavy pattern.
