The cover for a pram

nieznane

The case is made of white translucent fabric, rectangular, decorated in the inner part with small hand-embroidered pink flowers with two green leaves each; the rim is corrugated, separated from the inner part by a lace stripe.

In Bielawa, Chana Terbiler came into close contact with a German woman (we do not know the woman's name), whose house the family, who had come from the USSR, had been accommodated in. Chana Terbiler spoke fluent German (she attended a German school in Zarudni). The two women were united by a sense of alienation and resentment towards Jews and Germans. When the German woman was ordered to leave, Chana was expecting a child - Pearl. Shortly before her deportation, as a parting gift, the German woman sewed and embroidered a cover for the pram.
