Do umarłej (To the Deceased) (I) – unpublished version

Siemaszko, Olga (1911-2000)

Funeral flowers after Maria Zarębińska-Broniewska – one of the unpublished versions of the illustrations for the book "Ręka umarłej". The final version of the composition is printed on page 121, full-page, and opens the last part of the volume with funeral poems of Władysław Broniewski. The title of this section is taken from the title of the poem placed last (see MPOLIN-M1645).

The version of the work printed in the book (not preserved in Olga Siemaszko's archive) is very related to this illustration. The title "Do umarłej" (To the Deceased) in the book version was written in printing font.
