A handwritten document on ribbed paper (handmade; has a watermark) issued on 28 January 1697 in Tarnów. Written in Polish, it contains the contents of an agreement between the councillors and commune head, and Tarnów Jews (represented by Wulf Jeleniowicz, Jonasz Samulowicz and Zelman Szaiowicz) regarding the settlement of overdue tax amounts (800 zlotys). Under the document, an annotation in Hebrew alphabet (in Hebrew and Yiddish). Document on a single sheet.
