Dokument dotyczący sprawy między Żydami a mieszczaństwem tarnowskim w związku z paleniem gorzałki i prowadzeniem handlu

A handwritten document on ribbed paper (handmade; has a faint watermark) issued in 1635. Written in Latin and Polish, it has the nature of a report from a court hearing before the Distrcit Governor of Tarnów and the burgrave. It concerns the townspeople's complaint against Tarnów Jews who, violating local laws, began to engage in trade and in making booze within the city. The townspeople demand that the ban on Jewish trade be maintained and that Jews be allowed to engage in usury – in accordance with tradition. Document on three sheets (five pages are written).
