Document photograph of Sonia's mother (last name unknown) from page 12v of the Garnek family album

Identity photograph of an elderly woman (grey-haired?) wearing a dark blouse buttoned up to the neck. The background is black. The print was developed with uneven margins, the largest at the bottom edge; lines of black from the portrait background overlap the margin, especially in the upper left corner (blurring). The same printing method was used as for some of the other photographs in the album of the same size (see photographs on page 7v, as well as the other portrait of Sonia on page 12v, discussed below): the photograph was probably re-photographed with the stamp cut out – the margin in the lower right corner is enlarged by a large quarter-circle indentation in the image. The edges of the print are straight. The photograph was in the upper right window on the verso side of page 12 of the album, next to a portrait of a man and near a photograph of Sonia (last name unknown). On the back of the photograph there is a dedication written in the same handwriting as on the photograph of Sonia, with the same year on both photographs. Hence, it can be presumed that the women were related. The person portrayed may be Sonia's mother. See note to photograph MPOLIN-A.58.1.40.
