Documents of Rubin Wolf Podolski

A hundred-page set of documents produced as a result of the proceedings of the Rubin Wolf Podolski case (born on 1875), who applied for the exemption of his son, Aron (born 1903), from military service. The set includes letters issued by various administrative authorities, both civilian (Olkusz County Office, Wolbrom Municipality Office, State Police) and military (Military Draft Office in Miechów, V Corps Headquarters), as well as by the applicant himself. Rubin Wolf Podolski, who lived with his entire family in the Wolbrom municipality, addressed the authorities in 1924 with the following words: "My son Aron, born in 1903, is currently being called up for military service, and since he is also my sole provider and caretaker, as well as for my family, as I am completely unfit for work due to the lack of my left eye and internal illness, especially for such a demanding job as a tanner...". Eventually, the request was granted.
