Edgar (David) Schwarz's birth certificate

Edgar Schwarz was born on 2 January 1929 in Lviv at 94 Zniesienie Street. On 9 January 1929 he was circumcised at home and given the name Edgar. His father, Chaim Schwarz, was described as a distiller of the Zniesienie refinery by profession. His mother, Kreindel, was thedaughter of Golda Waldman from Stryj. In the document it is stated that the parents got married on 20 February1923 in Stryj, so the son was born as a "wedded" (to secular authorities) child. The certificate was issued on 24 May 1937 in Lviv.
