Felicja Blumental's academic card

part of the collection

Before her studies at the Warsaw Conservatory of Music, Felicja Blumental was a student of the Faculty of Law and was registered in the album of the University of Warsaw under number 23 502. Her matriculation card with the round seal of the University of Warsaw embossed on the cover was signed by Bolesław Hryniewiecki, rector of the University in the term of 1926/1927. The fields related to the document validity extension have remained blank. On December 31, 1931, Felicja wrote in her “Diary of the Saddest Period of my Youth”: “In the morning, I was at the University to pick up my leaving certificate, but it’s not ready yet” (see MPOLIN-A30.3.4). | The matriculation card also contains Felicja’s address at the time: 3 Dzika Street, apartment 17. This part of Dzika was renamed to Ludwik Zamenhof Street in 1930. | Renata Piątkowska
