Fragments of pottery, furnace, rubble and metal parts

The collection of objects from the vicinity of Krawiecka Street in Lublin includes: 3 fragments of tiles (17th–18th century), 5 fragments of clay vessels (18th century), 5 fragments of glazed vessels (19th–20th century), 3 fragments of glass objects (18th–19th century).

Krawiecka Street (no longer in existence today) was one of the older streets in Lublin. Before World War II, there were very neglected buildings along it, where the poorest part of the Jewish community in Lublin lived. From Podwale, Krawiecka Street ran parallel to Podzamcze Street and ended behind the Castle, where crumbling wooden houses formed Krawiecki Square. This street constituted the outer border of the Jewish ghetto in Podzamcze. Behind it there was only a meadow through which one could go to the Kalinowszczyzna district.
