Full-body photograph of two women from page 10v of the Garnek family album

The photograph shows two young women. The woman sitting on the left has crossed legs and her hands are resting on her knee. She is wearing a dark skirt with glossy pleats at the hem and a dark blouse with a pattern of small dots, elbow-length sleeves, and a collar spread to the sides. A single strand of small pearl-shaped coral beads adorns her neck. On her left wrist, there is a bracelet in the form of a chain. Her hair is smoothly combed and gathered at the back, with a short fringe on the forehead. On her shoulders are the hands of a woman standing behind her in an ankle-length dark dress, decorated with a white ruffle that forms a kind of jabot and collar. A similar ruffle decorates the elbow-length sleeves. The standing woman's neck is also adorned with a short strand of beads – pearls. Her hair flows in waves, falling onto the forehead from the right side. The dating of the photograph is based on the women's outfits (they would have been out of fashion by the third decade of the 20th century).
