The three-storey building located on the eastern frontage of one of the city's central streets - Główna Street (Ukr. Головна вулиця, Hołowna wułycja), at 34 Hołowna Street (Ukr. Головна вулиця, 34), during the interwar period housed a hotel first named "Metropol" and then "Central". The same building also housed the Chalucim School, educating those willing to go to Palestine. After 1945, knitting factories were located in the building.
