I saw the tightness of the courtyards, dirt, shabby walls …

Wróbel, Olga (1982- )

The despair of Abraham, who saw his Warsaw Nalewki Street, having already gained a different perspective on life during the summer camp. Olga Wróbel proposed that Monika Powalisz presents his grief in this form - using the metaphor of embracing his world. As the authors said during the guided tour of the exhibition Czytelnia kreski. Plansze komiksowe z kolekcji POLIN [Reading Room of Lines. Comic book charts from the POLIN collection] (22 October 2021), the script assumed that the boy's feelings were conveyed with the metaphor of carrying Nalewki on his back. Powalisz accepted the artist's proposal; in the project overviews the board has become one of the most cited images.
