I was different from the beginning

Wróbel, Olga (1982- )

A board with comic book frames in three rows. In its cold colour palette and themes the upper part of the board corresponds with the previous ones. It shows Abraham alienated from the family circle, "I have somewhat torn soul because sometimes I am angry that I am not as shy and empty as they are, or that they are not as aware as I am," he wrote in his autobiography. Subsequent frames, in warm colour palette, show a summer resort. "There, close to the nature, my soul ennobled and my mind developed," we read in the text sent to the Jewish Research Institute in Vilnius in the 1930s, which was the starting point for a comic book novel. For the first time Abraham what space and freedom felt like. “The most important thing for me was the unlimited area and freedom within it […]. I love that freedom. I felt so happy […] in the vast clearings and forests! ”.
