Italian passport of a stateless person issued for Aleksander Włodawer

Issued by the Office for Foreigners of the Police Station in Rome the Italian "passport of a stateless person" of Aleksander Włodawer, who, in 1969, traveled through Italy to the United States to start doctoral studies there. His Polish travel document (passport of a stateless person) has not been preserved, because Włodawer had to submit it in Rome to obtain this document.

On the green front cover (fabric), at the top, the emblem of Italy (with a five-pointed star), below it the inscriptions: REPUBBLICA ITALIANA | RÉPUBLIQUE ITALIENNE | TITOLO DI VIAGGIO PER STRANIERI | TITRE TE VOYAGE POUR ETRANERS | no. 03537

On the first page, specification of the number: N. del documento 03537 - and on the right: N. del registro 57070 [entered by hand].

With a photo and a signature on p. 4 - the photo (three-quarter shot; bottom of the photo with a semicircular margin). On p. 6 a stamp. On p. 8, a New York seal - U. S. IMMIGRATION | NEW YORK N. Y. 572 - dated 30 JUN 1969.
