Jewish Accounts of Brutality in Extermination Camps

A collection of early and probably one of the oldest accounts of Jewish survivors of the Holocaust, partly collected in Lublin in July and August 1944, before the establishment of the Jewish Historical Commission at the Jewish Committee in Lublin.

Some of the accounts were written on the back of German documents, including a propaganda board game for Poles. The accounts were donated to the "Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre" Centre by Professor Janusz Wrona of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University and come from the archive of Jan Manugiewicz (pseud. Szymon Żołna), an ethnologist and member of the National Council, who died in 1988.
