In 1899 Maksymilian and Anna Goldfeder bought a plot extending from Średnia St. to Źródłowa St and planed to built there a housing estate offering cheap apartments. The design was made by Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger. On the front, at Pomorska 92, a tenement house was erected and later in 1908 handed over to The Jewish Charitable Society of Łódź. The project provided 30 apartments destined for poor Jewish families. Grocery store and a synagogue with the inscription: Goldfeder spouses Synagogue, were planned to be built.
