The Jewish hospital in Lublin

Photographic documentation of the site

The Jewish hospital in Lublin was established on the initiative and with the funds of the Jewish Community in Lublin. At 83 Lubartowska Street in 1886, a two-storey building in eclectic style was constructed according to a design by Marian Jarzyński. The hospital was originally designed to treat 56 patients. Over time, a mortuary, stables, and residential buildings were built on the hospital plot. The building also housed a small synagogue. In 1939, the Lublin Jewish Hospital was regarded as one of the most modern hospitals in Poland.
