Photographic documentation of the site

The first building at 18 Pomorska Street was built in the middle of the 19th century. It was the villa of the owner of the oilcloth factory, Karl Gebhardt. In 1872, the palace was purchased by the industrialist Burchart, who rebuilt it in the neo-Renaissance style. Later, a Bank's headquarter was located here. In 1934, it was purchased by the Łódź Religious Community for its headquarters. During the Second World War, the building was occupied by German soldiers.
