Róża Król, née Brokholc, was born in 1943 in Kazakhstan, to which her parents from Krasnobród and Zamość were deported during the war. In 1946, the family settled in Szczecin. The interviewee attended a Jewish kindergarten, the I. L. Peretz Jewish Primary School and Secondary School No. 2. She graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of the Szczecin University of Technology. In the 1960s, Róża Król was the president of the youth club at the Szczecin branch of the Social and Cultural Society of Jews in Poland [TSKŻ], and from 1982 a full-time employee of TSKŻ. She has been the chairwoman of the TSKŻ in Szczecin for several years.
