Leaflet: photograph of a rabbi from Belz with his associates

A leaflet print with a reproduction of a black and white photograph and a Hebrew caption, in a form resembling a postcard (without ruling). The photograph shows a representative of the famous Hasidic lineage from Belz (today Ukraine), Tzadik Aharon Rokeach (wearing a fur cap). The tzadik is crossing the bridge surrounded by four men wearing gaberdines and hats. On an unprinted field, below the photograph, are inscriptions in Hebrew ("Rabbi from Belz with associates – may they have a good life"). In the lower left corner, a phrase in Yiddish: "Reprinting forbidden", and the date underneath. On the back a handwritten inscription in pencil in Polish: "Meilech Braunheim (?) Tuchów" and an illegible signature. The photograph dates from the interwar period. Rabbi Aharon Rokeach died in 1957 in Tel Aviv. During the German occupation, he stayed in various ghettos in the General Government, in 1942 he managed to get to Hungary and from there to Palestine.
