A letter describing the tragic end to a love affair between two young residents of Oświęcim, Catholic Stanisław Tyrna, 22, and Jewish Regina Okręt, 18. Their families opposed their marriage, and Stanisław shot his beloved and then killed himself. In this letter, Stanisław’s father, Wojciech, writes his daughter and son-in-law in the US of the tragedy.
