Letter to Bronisława Roller

part of the collection

Letter from Marta Glocer to her son on 2 pages. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “My dearest only son! Today is the 44th anniversary of our engagement, and your father and I have many nice memories, so first of all I’d like to speak with my little son on this very important day for us. I’m so proud to have my beloved and so successful children and grandchildren, which, as far as I can count, I have 14 altogether. My beloved Jadzia told me yesterday that she wrote a letter to you, my dearest Władeczek, which she ends with the words, that when she’ll be dying, she’ll have your name on her lips; how I envy her; how much affection, filial warmth, respect, care and attachment you must have given her, it’s a pity that not many mothers can, in such sad periods of life, enjoy this kind of equivalents for the worries and sufferings they experience.”
