Letter to Emilia Ratz

The letter on four pages of ruled sheets, the first two written in copy pencil, the last served as a kind of envelope as the whole was folded into a triangle and posted; visible postmarks at address, no stamps. From the contents: "My stay in Moscow was not very successful, as I was ill there. I only saw a little of the city, I did not go to any theatre, but the most important thing is that I saw my father and friends. I got to know a little bit about the current situation in our national circles, so I met people and talked to many. I don't know if you are aware of the fact that at the moment there are enormous changes in the life of our nation. Unfortunately, I can't describe everything to you, but most of the events will be announced in the press. | The return journey from Moscow was very difficult, I had been travelling for 8 days, and I was really exhausted. I came back to my old activities and my old boredom. I feel even more lonely after the trip to Moscow. The fact that one does almost nothing is terrible for one's mood. We sit and eat, we do completely unproductive work. One would like to go into battle sooner, especially that the Red Army is already approaching our dearest places".
