Letter to Emilia Ratz

The letter from Halina Altman to Emilia Ratz in Polish, on two blank pages, in pen. From the contents: "We are standing near the capital itself, which has been burning for several weeks. [...] It is imperative that I get to Lublin for some two days, to see my father. [Marcin belongs to the year group that is subject to mobilisation for the army. [...] I had quite an unpleasant time here, I had a mental breakdown, I felt very miserable, I missed you. Now it has ended happily, I have managed to get used to it". People mentioned in the letter: Hela, Milka, Konrad - a colleague of the Ratzes from the polytechnic, Lucyna (Lusia) Herc (Hertz) [see note to letter of 10.12.1944], Genek Zadrzyński (Halina Altman's commanding officer), Henryk Altman, who works for the Polish National Liberation Committee in Lublin, in the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Health.
