Letter to Halina Altman

The letter from Marcin Ratz, typed, and Emilia Ratz, adding her letter underneath, to Halina Altman; no date on letter, date on stamp on preserved envelope with stamp: 12.12.47. The beginning of the letter (original spelling): "dr!!!!AAAAAASDF[...] | Dear Halina | You are so unlucky that I am going to learn typing on the above letter. | After this sad introduction, I proceed to the letter itself. That's the end of it. Mili's patience has run out and so I am forced to finish the letter for her. She has upset the whole typewriter, which I have borrowed for two days of the world". He continues (original spelling): "Nothing new with us. We're bored in the afternoon and work before noon, there's no one to talk to, Adam's already gone to London, Erna's in Wroclaw, the weather's poor, so we're not going anywhere. We don't receive letters from our acquaintances, as everyone is bored of writing without receiving an answer". From a letter by Emilia Ratz: Since Marcin has meanwhile taken that awful weapon from my hand and written to you about everything, I will only tell you that I have already missed you terribly. [...] I have a lot to do and I'm exhausted".
