From the body of the letter (original spelling): “I’ve received your letter of November 26, I also read your letters to Bronka some time ago, and I was pleased to learn that Mietek is already in Belgrade. It is great that he managed to leave Romania in time, because the peace there won’t last for long. It turns out, however, that Turkey was more suitable than your area as a transitional place for further journey.”
