Letter to Halina Kraus

It is part of the collection

Letter from Bronisława Roller to her sister on 1 page. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “As Stefan wrote you affidavit, we would also try to get it for Mietek. Here, they are making us believe that you’ll get into the quota in this way. If you’re able to leave by other means, then obviously please do so, but remember to immediately inform the consulate about sending the papers. We haven’t yet managed to achieve what we planned when we asked you for photographs, but it is still possible that we’ll succeed. You’re beautiful and fiercely interesting as usual. I had a letter from Dorka Frejlich. She writes asking why you don’t write to her. You can write to her at the following address: Lisboa, rua Martens Ferrans 34, 3-o Esq. c/o Deolinda Melo. They, i.e. she and her husband, are waiting for affidavit as the quota is available. I would very much like them to come here. Poor soul, she’s wandering around as well. She asks a lot about you and you can see how devoted she is to you. Do you have any news from Marychna? She hasn’t heard anything from here for two months. My only wish is that you get here and that nothing happens to our dearest ones there, so that we would all live to meet altogether again. Halinka, we’ll do together everything that is possible to have Stefanek develop all his potential – you can be sure of that. He’ll be the pride and honour of the whole family.”
