From the body of the letter (original spelling): “Thank you, dear Sister, for your kind words; I’m sure that you’ll be good to me, for I’m very longing for your love. Our Father’s health is certainly not good, the Old Man is very weak and lately hasn’t even been writing letters. However, Halinka, you must be brave and take it all in with calmness, we still have hope that Father will get better. After all, he’s being looked after with such care and nurturing that it couldn’t be better. With Divine Help, he can still regain his forces.”
