From the body of the letter (original spelling): “Unfortunately my letters (per avion) remain not answered, not even my last letter from Stockholm. What does it mean? From your letters to Bronka, I’ve learnt that Janka intends to return home in mid-September and that you, my dear Hala, will stay all alone. There is no need to be afraid, Bronka and I’ll never forget about you [...].”
