Letter to Janina Puncuch

It is part of the collection

Letter from Bronisława Roller to her sister on 1 page. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “My Dear Halina, if I could just be with you at this moment, see what is the matter with you and be able to help you, but we, people, are so powerless and we have to bear everything patiently and pretend to be fine, because we shouldn’t let the strangers see our sadness. Today, after a long break, I’ve received a card from Władek and Janeczka. Janeczka writes that the question of visas for Parents and Ewa are well on their way. | You can imagine how sad I am in London alone. I’m supported a lot by the home of Stefan’s cousins who live here and to whom I’m invited on a regular basis. I cook for myself and I’m very happy with my tiny flat.”
