Letter from Marek Szwarc to Gina Szwarc

Marek Szwarc described to his wife his life in a military camp and the country where he was stationed: "The sweetest one bows to the end of today. It was a day of peace and rest in the camp. I took a long, solitary walk with my sketchbook. I drew something. [...] It is very nice here, and if there is no rain, I shall feel great here. I have the impression that I am in a summer flat. The air is fresh, and my appetite is ravenous. One is constantly in the air. Today I basked in the sun, stripped to the waist for k. [several] hours. I have not looked into a book, and I am not learning English". (original spelling).
