Letter addressed to Julian Stryjkowski, notifying him that he was awarded the National Prize, 1st degree, for the year 1952 for his achievements in literature and art. The prize was 25,000 zlotys. He received it for the novel Bieg do Fragalà [Running to Fragalà; in the letter, the title was given without diacritic]. The letter reads that he will receive further communication inviting him to accept the certificate and the badge.

The letter was sent by the Office of the Education and Culture Department at the Government Presidium; no. OK-667[the last digit corrected from 4]/31/338, signed by the head of the Office, Zygmunt Dworakowski.

The envelope has not been preserved. The letter is written on the headed paper of the Government Presidium.
