Letter to Samuel Szczekacz (II)

It is part of the collection

Natalia (Nusia) Szczekacz, younger sister of Samuel Szczekacz (Zura) (born in 1922), was deported from the Łódź Ghetto to the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp on 10 August 1944. She survived the camp and the death march. And after the war, she was in the so-called displaced persons camp in Zeilsheim, from where she wrote a letter to Samuel with information about her family's fate during the Second World War.

In the collection of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. is a metal plate issued to Niusi Szczekacz upon her arrival at Auschwitz-Birkenau in August 1944. | RP
