The correspondence card sent by the Nieznanowskis from Warsaw to Magnitogorsk, two months before the Third Reich invaded the USSR. From the contents of the letter: (spelling slightly altered): "we are awaiting an answer from the Soviet consul in Berlin regarding our departure to you [...] whether any of our relatives have already travelled to the USSR on such papers [...] we are looking forward to your joint photograph and write us whether you are still living together".
