Letter to Władysław Glocer

part of the collection

Letter from Teofil Glocer to his children on 2 pages. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “You’ll probably not mind my giving you below some addresses of our relatives in your town who may still live there. My Mother (your Grandma) had several brothers and sisters in N-Y who migrated to America about eighty years ago, one of whom, Nathan Abrahams, managed to make a career, gained influence and wealth, so that he could support his old mother (our Grandma Hana) throughout her life and once, in the 1880s, he even visited his mother and our family in Kleczew together with his wife and son-in-law Schwarz. It was a great joy in the family to have visitors from the other hemisphere!”
