Letter to Władysław Glocer

part of the collection

Letter from Teofil Glocer to his children on 2 pages. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “We wrote to you several times last month, and I continue to report you that we’re all well, including beloved Janeczka and her family, and our only wish now is to receive good news from you frequently. A few days ago, we received a message from a certain Mrs Lehman, an acquaintance of Mr Langman, that Walter and the family are all in good health and doing well, which made us very happy. Today is a joyful day because our beloved Janeczka has visited us and brought a bit of sunshine to our place, after all we are celebrating the birthday of our nicest pet, angelic Mother and the best Władek – long live all of them! | It’s only a pity and it hurts that we won’t be all together this year either, although you’ll be present in our minds and we’ll drink to your health! [...] Don’t worry about us, we lack nothing, thanks to you, beloved Władek, and thanks to beloved Janeczka with her husband and the services of Dr Hoffenreich from Lisbon, we’re sufficiently supplied, and we lack only your presence, but we don’t lose hope that a change for the better will soon take place in this respect as well.”
