Letter to Władysław Glocer

part of the collection

Letter from Teofil Glocer to his son on 2 pages. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “I’ve recently received a letter from the Swedish Embassy that I can get a Swedish transit visa with the condition that I already have a U.S. visa. We were also visited yesterday by Mr Molander, the Swedish consul, who brought me from Mr Agrell clothes, shoes, a woollen scarf (all used) and the equivalent of 400 crowns which reflect, at the official exchange rate, 10,000 Polish zlotys. He did not bring an overcoat. But I don’t need it for now, because Mr Rowiński lent me a very good and warm jacket, in which I’m comfortable and warm.”
