Letter to Władysław Glocer

It is part of the collection

Letter from Teofil Glocer to his son on 2 pages. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “For 4 days, due to a strong cold and a suffocating cough, I had to stay in bed under the care of my dear Mother and dear Ewulka, who visited me every day and cured me so well that today, she allowed me to leave bed for a few hours, which I’m taking advantage of to write this letter to you. I thank God every day that since you left us and said goodbye to me at the time of your departure, my blessings and providential care haven’t forsaken you for a moment and I firmly believe that it’ll continue to watch over you and guide your destiny and will never abandon you until the fate that guides and follows every human being is fulfilled and God will lead you to your desired destination. I had the fortune-teller’s prophecy in my hand the other day, while going through your letters and other stuff, and it was accurate on what concerned the assessment of your character and how you allow yourself to be exploited by people, and that you are able to quickly recover the property you have lost, and, with God’s help, another thing will also come true, namely that Mr Agrell is a devoted friend of yours and was able to assess your abilities and willingness to work, I’ve always believed in this, and from the bottom of my heart I congratulate you receiving from him the proposal of this so important post – with God’s help this will be the beginning of the restoration of our existence.”
