Letter to Władysław Glocer

part of the collection

Letter from Teofil Glocer to his son on 2 pages. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “In your dispatch you tell us to prepare for a journey in January, which I consider to be premature, if only due to the winter, which promises to be very harsh (for a week now, we’ve experienced temperatures around minus 15-18 degrees), which for me, and perhaps for the children either, wouldn’t be advisable. We’re also faced with the sacred duty of carrying the ashes of our unforgettable Deceased to her rightful place and grave in the Warsaw cemetery and erecting a modest monument; perhaps one of the children will one day wish to visit her abandoned grave, far away but so close to our hearts, and reflect on her luminous memory.”
