Letter to Władysław Glocer

part of the collection

Letter from Teofil Glocer to his son on 2 pages. From the body of the letter (original spelling): “I was sorry to read that beloved Anitka was unwell for 3 weeks, I’m glad that it passed and that she is now skiing with you during the holidays. Her handwriting is as sweet as herself; the fact that she always acts with some interest proves her practicality, and this trait of her character is evidently inherited from her mother, let this be her only drawback, which is anyway very amiable and practical. What count more is that she is developing well and I’m happy that I’ll one day meet this pretty, kind and friendly young lady. Janeczka received from Mrs Singer a gift sent to her for Christmas from the dear Rollers; I also received from them the long-announced, very warm, double-sole shoes, which I’m already wearing – they are very comfortable – as if made to measure.”
