Letter to Władysław Glocer

part of the collection

The letter from Theophilus Glocer to his son on 4 pages. From the content of the letter (original spelling): I am reading your letters, as usual so cordial and caring, and it is strange that the more reason for joy and satisfaction I have, the deeper and more intense is the everlasting pain and sorrow why our holy war victims were not allowed to participate in this joy, which should be theirs in the first place! I am extremely happy that you too, Bronus, following the example of Wladek, are trying to make it possible for us to see each other in Sweden, for which I am grateful to you, Stefan, that you make this need of the heart easier. What a happiness it will be when we all reunite here, because there was a letter from our dear Halszka, too, saying that if their way leads through France, she'll make a "jump" to Sweden to see us before arriving at her new "home" and cry out all the accumulated longing, all the measureless pain on our chests. | MW
