Letter to Wojciech Przybyszewski

part of the collection

The letter without an envelope. Teodor Bok devotes an extensive introduction to the reasons for his regular delays in answering his friend's messages, and admits that if he had led a more regular life, things would have been better in this respect. The artist has had two exhibitions so he can devote himself to working on his next wood sculpture; when not working on it, he creates drawings in the evenings. He writes about his overweight and humorously states that as the years go by, the caves get tighter and tighter for him. He returns to the subject of exhibitions and sculptures, the form of which he considers the right way to go. He then expresses his thanks for the portrait sent by his friend Małgorzata of Wojciech Przybyszewski in a previous correspondence. He confirms his willingness to meet him during his trip to Germany, and to host Przybyszewski and his friend when they visit Copenhagen. He mentions in the letter that he is planning a summer trip to the Alps with a speleological expedition; he hopes for easy caves to explore, bearing in mind his recent failures.
