Lublin Street in Kazimierz Dolny

Czaj-Goldhuber, Izydor Ignacy (1896-1942)

The 1935 painting (oil, canvas, 55 x 68 cm) depicts a row of houses arranged in such a way that the first one dominates the others, occupying most of the canvas. The house is two-story, has a high roof with a chimney. The facade with windows and the entrance door, accessed by several steps, and the side wall, where the first floor is finished with a small roof, are visible. The facade is light blue, the side wall - light brown. The further plan consists of a series of adjacent buildings. In the lower left part of the painting, there are five figures. In the foreground, there is a man in a hat walking, and slightly more towards the background - a woman is standing in front of the entrance to the house. The three remaining figures, forming a group, are in the back. There is a signature in the lower right corner: "I. Czaj”.
