The December 1935 announcement of the Administration of the Jewish Religious Community in Nawaria (Ukr. Navariya) in the Lviv District, preserved in unknown circumstances. Content of the announcement: a template print with handwritten additions (two underlines of the year in red pencil can be seen, both on the left side). A two-column document, text in Polish on the left, in Yiddish on the right. The Administration of the Community informed all of its members “about the presentation of the budget and the list of communal contributions for 1936 in the office of the local Jewish religious community for the purpose of inspecting them. | The appointed eight-day period for inspection is: | from 20 December 1935 | to 28 December 1935 | during the office hours || Each individual payer of the communal contribution has the right to submit a written complaint to the aforementioned authorities of the general administration of the first instance, through the local Jewish religious community. The lodging of a complaint shall not have suspensive effects […]”. Below, signatures in two versions, one on each side, hardly legible, next to them round stamps, one in each of the two columns (the part in Yiddish also followed by the Polish stamp), also faded and difficult to read. Template of the announcement (marked in the bottom left as: “Announcement on the presentation of the budget and the list of contributions for public inspection”) printed by the Knoller and Son printing house in Przemyśl. Unfortunately, we do not know much about the Jewish Religious Community in Nawaria nor about the Jews of the town. The document was donated to the collection by Ryszard Czerucki, who purchased it in an antique shop. It is therefore all the more valuable as a trace of the Community’s activity.
